And while there are numerous organizations and agencies dedicated to helping renters, there are far fewer resources out there for property owners like you.

But SFAA is here to help. For over a century now, we’ve been assisting property owners large and small. We’ve stayed dedicated to this city and this city only, so we know the ins and outs of San Francisco property ownership better than anyone.

SFAA’s Mission

Our mission is to help you save time and money. We do that in several ways.

We can help you navigate the complex prospective resident application process, which means you’ll be able to fill more vacancies, quicker. Through frequent updates, our magazine, and our weekly educational classes, we’ll keep you and your staff up to date on important policies and practices. And we’ll provide you with helpful, everyday operations resources such as tenant screenings and lease agreements.

Finally, if there’s something we can’t assist with ourselves, we can refer you to professionals – property attorneys, property management companies, etc. – who can help.

Who We Work With

We advise plenty of seasoned professionals, but we work with many small-portfolio and single-property owners too. In fact, owners with between one and four apartments make up more than 50% of SFAA’s membership. Whether you own a few flats or a citywide portfolio, SFAA can give you the tools and resources you need to address the day-to-day challenges of property management with confidence.
