San Francisco Public Utilities Commission - Proposed Rate Increase The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) works 24/7 to deliver high-quality water to your tap and treat wastewater and storm water runoff for residents and businesses. These vital services are 100% funded by monthly water and sewer bills, not taxes. As utilities across the nation are grappling with aging infrastructure, the SFPUC has reached 95% completion in water system upgrades and are extensively planning and beginning construction for sewer system upgrades. The proposed rates increase will fund repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to critical water and sewer systems. For more information, visit sfwater.org/rates.
