In this class you will learn what your responsibilities are as a leasing professional, how to prepare a property for market, how to choose comparable properties, complete a market survey and how to calculate revenue formulas to set market rents. Additionally, you will learn the do’s and don’ts of Fair Housing as it relates to leasing, how to advertise and market a property for market. Leasing is selling and you will learn the basic techniques telephone and email etiquette, how to give a tour with safety tips, how to provide value added selling, resolve objections and closing techniques. Once you have closed the deal, we will discuss how to process applications, credit checks, collect deposits and other fees. This class will be taught by Michelle Horneff-Cohen of Property Management Systems.
