Voluntary Soft Story Seismic Retrofit legislation

The Mayor’s Voluntary Soft Story Seismic Retrofit legislation will be heard at the Board of Supervisors Land Use Committee on Monday, March 1, 2010. The meeting will be held at 1:00pm in City Hall, room 263.

The legislation being heard is a voluntary program being introduced by Mayor Gavin Newsom. It represents the first step forward on Mayor Newsom’s plan to get all of the City’s targeted 4,400 soft-story buildings retrofit in preparation for the next substantial earthquake.
