The Mayor’s Voluntary Soft Story Seismic Retrofit legislation will be heard at the Board of Supervisors Land Use Committee on Monday, March 1, 2010.

Chris Daly’s Renters Economic Relief legislation is back after being vetoed by the Mayor.

Move-In legislation was passed by the Board of Supervisors January 26.
Legislative Watch:
On December 8, the Board of Supervisors voted 7-4 in favor of the Avalos Just Cause eviction legislation. Mayor Gavin Newsom has graciously agreed to veto this legislation, and we have enough votes to uphold the Mayor’s veto. This means that the law WILL NOT go into effect.

The issue of mandatory acceptance of pets in rental housing was heard again by the Animal Control and Welfare Commission on Nov. 12. SFAA board member Andrew Long spoke against the proposal. Learn more and see a KGO-TV news story about the hearing featuring Andrew's comments.
