bullet On December 8, the Board of Supervisors voted 7-4 in favor of the Avalos Just Cause eviction legislation. Mayor Gavin Newsom has graciously agreed to veto this legislation, and we have enough votes to uphold the Mayor’s veto. This means that the law WILL NOT go into effect.

bullet The issue of mandatory acceptance of pets in rental housing was heard again by the Animal Control and Welfare Commission on Nov. 12. SFAA board member Andrew Long spoke against the proposal. Learn more and see a KGO-TV news story about the hearing featuring Andrew's comments.
